KÖTTERMANN presents new tall safety cabinets with automatic pull-out doors.
Hänigsen, 5 October 2017.
For laboratory work, it is important to combine optimal efficiency with optimal safety precautions. Laboratory equipment plays an important part in this: the surfaces of the furniture contribute to fire safety and hygiene, paths around the lab can be shortened, chemicals stored safely and space used in optimal fashion. In handling hazardous substances, storage plays an especially important role. The new tall safety cabinet for flammable liquids from KÖTTERMANN with its innovative pull-out door combines safety and efficiency. Since September 2017, it has been available in two different widths: 450 mm and 815 mm.
Using electro-mechanical technology, the new tall safety cabinet from KÖTTERMANN can be operated safely and easily using time-delayed closing as well as a stop function for obstacles. All stored substances can be accessed directly from both sides, thanks to the automatic pull-out door. In addition to an optimal overview of the contents, the pull-out door offers height-adjustable shelving which users themselves can change. The tall safety cabinet also optimises use of space. The narrow 450 mm version, in particular, saves valuable laboratory space. If placed next to fume cupboards or tables, additional work surfaces can be created. Another major advantage is the storage capacity: the 450 mm wide cabinet offers nearly as much space as a 900 mm wide safety cabinet with winged doors. Over 90 percent of ISO 4796-1 one-litre bottles fit into this little space-saver. As a safety cabinet for flammable liquids, it meets all protection targets and is certified according to European standard EN 14470-1. Both the doors and the body are double-walled and thermally insulated. In the event of a fire, the pull-out closes automatically. The cabinet connection to the exhaust air system ensures additional safety when storing volatile chemicals.
